Anyhow, before we left for Taiwan, she had a few weeks of practically zero misses at home, or so. The first couple weeks in Taiwan we also didn't use a diaper most times when out and about and it was totally fine. Then she started peeing more and more often in her pants, and ever since we got back it's pretty much continued that way. But we don't want to go back to her wearing a diaper at home, as we don't think that is conducive for anything either.
Thing is, we know she is choosing this. And it isn't just pee now, but also number two. Not all thetime, but often enough that it is almost frustrating because we don't know how to get her to want to choose differently.
For a while it worked that she started saying 'purple' (papoo) - it is her favorite color, still, and just so happens to be the color of her potty. So it was fun for her to say she had to go 'poot' on the 'papoo poppy', but that just lasted a couple days. Yesterday we went through about four sets of clothes. Today, we actually had no misses. Go figure!
Not expecting it to end any time soon, as baby will be born, then we will move a month after, and then move again a month and a half later, and then again about two months later. So many life-upheavals are not exactly conducive to becoming potty trained.
So I guess we will just plod along as we have been doing, no shaming, no coercing, no happy-dances, no rewards, just 'poop and pee go in the potty', and 'please tell us before you have to pee or poop' type statements. All she has to do is choose.
